Coal powered cars in the Finger Lakes

 Not only coal, but also nuclear powered!  A smart business move by a dealership recently shafted in the government takeover of Chrysler:

Five low-speed, all-electric vehicles available for sale this week are just the beginning of electric cars in Ithaca.

Sure, they're tiny, slow, expensive, and have limited driving range.  In Ithaca, they'll sell like organic hot cakes.
